There being an abundance of journals available on Dentistry, focussing more on research, statistics and non-practical Dentistry, it was felt that there was scope for a Publication and Website dedicated exclusively to the practicing Dentist

A few companies recently conducted an independent survey among Dentists recently regarding the choice of a Dental ublication - and the unanimous choice of over 90% Dentist surveyed revealed one common publication, FAMDENT!

Dr. ANIL ARORA, Co-Founder and CEO

A Post Graduate practicing Dentist, has developed a reputable practice in suburban Mumbai, India, since 1981. He has also completed the National Dental Board Certification –U.S.A. in 1993. With an insatiable hunger to learn, his practice has always strived to stay with the times, with periodic upgrading. He has been the mainstay behind this Website. Under his guidance, FAMDENT has leading rapidly and is now undisputed Clinical Dentistry Publication of India.

Dr. JYOTIKA ARORA

Practicing with her husband Dr. Anil Arora, has been a pillar of strength and support, and is of immense help in the overall development of the Publication and Website.

She has recently launched, for the first time in India, FAMDENT DENTAL ARTS, a unique marketing tool to build your practice and help it grow faster. Details about these are available elsewhere on this website.

Dr. MILIND S. KARMARKAR

He is a well known Dentist all over India. He is a Post Graduate Dentist in Combined Prosthodontics. He serves as Lecturer and Professor at several institutions. He has worked as Implant Specialist in Riyadh, K.S.A. and at the Institute of Facial Aesthetics, Fort Washington, U.S.A.

He is a founding member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in India.

He has U.S. National Dental Board Certification and is currently in Specialised Private Practice in Implant Prosthodontics and Aesthetics in Mumbai, India.

Dr. SANDESH MAYEKAR

He needs no introduction, A pioneer and driving force behind the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry revolution in India , he is responsible to a great extent in creating awareness about Cosmetic Dentistry in the general public. Always in the forefront in Continuing Education, he is a much sought after speaker in India and abroad. With his wide range of international contacts, Dr. Mayekar promises to add more teeth to the contents of Famdent with exclusive articles, tips, hints, etc. to enhance our dental knowledge.

Dr. A KUMARSWAMY

He has been instrumental in changing the face of Periodontia in India. Has brought Perio Aesthetics to the forefront. Also an accomplished and extremely articulate speaker, his penchant for adding a pinch of humour in his talks is well known. He has recently introduced a new concept by starting A Fresh Breath Clinic in Mumbai. Actively associated with a number of Dental organizations like the IDA, IAACD and Indian Periodontal Society,

Dr. Kumar has always been and hopefully shall continue to be a guiding light for all of us at Famdent with his invaluable advice and critiques.

Dr. SUHAS LELE

He is a graduate from GDC, Mumbai. He has also completed a certification course from College of Dentistry, New York. He is a founder member of “Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in India’. He was a participant in a hands on workshop at Schaan-Liechtenstein by Ivoclar Vivadent in 1999. He has also given an international presentation on Endoaesthetics at the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry Conference in Singapore in1998. Dr. Lele has also become only the 2nd dentist in India and the 5th in Asia to acquire the accreditation status from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is in private practice in Mumbai.

Dr. P. D. JOSHI

He i s an Endodontist from Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai. He has been a consultant Endodontist since 1983 and has been practicing Implant Dentistry since 1992. He is the Hon. Secretary of the Andheri Dental Assocaition, Mumbai, apart from being a member of various other dental organizations in the country. Dr. Joshi has attended implant courses in Germany and Holland. He is also trained in Microscopoic Endodontics and use of Quantac and Profile Instruments at New York and Chicago. Dr. Joshi also conducts weekend workshops in Endodontics at his Center For Endodontics. He has lectured extensively across the country and has contributed to several journals including the Indian Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. CHANDRESH SHAH

Passed his BDS from GDC, Mumbai in 1980. Since then, he has been extremely active in local and national dental associations and events. He has been the Secretary & President IDA Surat Branch, Organising Secretary IDA Gujarat State Branch, Vice President and later President, Gujarat State Branch. Dr. Shah has also been a Central Council Member , IDA head office and Gujarat Executive Council Member. Besides these, he is a Director of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. His recent interest in implants has found him part of several implant assocaitions in India. Dr. Shah maintains a private practice in Surat.
