Participants are asked to get at least one access cavity prepared and working
length estimated maxillary first molar (for treatment)(We will teach you to search MB2- fourth canal!) and one already obturated tooth (for re-treatment).
The teeth must be freshly extracted, soaked in water and without mounting.
Access cavity must be prepared before hand as we don’t have compressor faciity at the venue. For retreatment, Please remove GP points from the pulp chamber completely. GP should be seen only at the orifices.
Please get your own contra angle handpiece and burs for micro-motor. Everything else like K-files, rotary treatment and re-treatment files, micro-motor, endohandpiece, EDTA, points, etc. will be provided by us.

Occlusion is the last chapter in most books, and mostly neither the students nor the teachers get to it, fortunately/ unfortunately. Our fundamentals of occlusion, “ if any”, are normally adaptive, and is more like “grinding away the blues.”
Is occlusion such a drab dry subject?
Is it really that important to understand it?
Is it really so difficult?
Then why make such a fuss over something that is not so difficult to understand?
Let’s spend half a day together and enjoy occlusion and emerge aware and capable of its wonderful facets. Let’s unravel the mystery behind this enigmatic science! Dr. Seema Rathi is a gold medallist from Mumbai university and maintains a private practice in Mumbai since last 15 years with special emphasis on quality conscious modern dentistry. Full mouth rehabilitation is a major part of her comprehensive practice. She is also the course co-ordinator for a Training program ORTHOTRAIN. She has to her credit several presentations and articles in reputed journals.
Course Content: The lecture will comprise of the interdisciplinary team approach, diagnostic procedure for adult cases and mutilated dentition, treatment planning and sequencing, implementation and execution with follow ups.
Splinting – a clinical perspective, basic principles, indications and contraindications, clinical management of mobile teeth, aesthetic temporary prosthesis using splinting material and the future perspective of splinting.

The last few years have seen an explosion of technological advances in the areas of CT and Cone Beam (CBCT) imaging, interactive treatment planning software, CAD CAM applications, minimally invasive flapless oral implant surgery with guided surgical procedures and CT-derived templates. . CT imaging can help clinicians improve all aspects of implant reconstruction, including both restorative and surgical phases while diminishing complications of mal-positioned implants. Clinicians need to understand the importance and benefits of CT imaging. Getting the scan is only one part of the equation, giving rise to the slogan, “It is not the scan; it is the plan!”

After the lecture we will initiate the participant’s hands-on session with many Laptops loaded with the trial version of the IMPLANT SMART software. Each Participant will be given a CT scan data of a case to be planned for Guided surgery on the software. The training faculty will then guide the participants step-by step right from the detection of the anatomical landmarks, bone density analysis, importing of the reference model, 3D-positioning of the implants, and the anchor pins, etc.Then finally each participant will generate a final project file which can be used to generate the surgical guide for the planned case. After the software training, batches of participants will be given a simulated model of a edentulous mandible along with a stereolithio graphic surgical guide fabricated for guided flapless implant placements using drilling protocol. Each participant will execute a osteotomy through the surgical guide using the drill guides as per the specific implant system.This will ensure each participant about the guided surgery environment and will also exhibit the accuracy of the individual implant placements in a simulated environment.
