Procedure: SINGLE SITTING RCT LIVE WITH 3D OBTURATION
ABSTRACT: 15 years and 49 live endo procedures and We have seen it all! We did single sitting endo, molars with 5-6 canals in live, MB2, DB2, middle mesial live, lower 8 with dilaceration, upper 8 with limited access, bleeding canal management, teeth with huge PA lesion, broken instrument removal and bypass, ledge management live, ReRCT of 2 molars together; We have done all that Live!
Light wouldn't work, microscope wouldn't work, chair does not move, compressor conks off, limited equipment, patient gets scared and pukes, trembling patient looking at the Dentist crowd, We have faced all that LIVE! And this Famdent Show Hyderabad, we will be doing 50th live procedure! To take it to the next level, I invite Dentists to get their root canal done in LIVE procedure arena! We may collect pre operative IOPA radiographs of some of you who need to go for RCT and choose one out of them! Are you game? If yes, send your IOPA on firstname.lastname@example.org. Then see me LIVE 50th time, only at Famdent Show Hyderabad!
Endodontics is improving by leaps and bounds every year. It has become a predictable procedure to be completed in minimum/single sitting in most of the cases. If we follow basic principles of- RCT, healing follows without fail. I have been advocating single visit RCT since 15 years. We will present even simpler version of the procedure with new rotary and obturation system with modern treatment protocol. One can gain immediate knowledge and expertise about single visit RCT to apply in his or her own practice after attending this live session.

Activa Bioactive deep posterior restoration – Live procedure (Direct Restoration) Activa Bioactive varnish application for better oral wellbeing - live procedure (pro-active restoration) Activa Bioactive cementation table model demonstration (In-direct Restoration)
SYNOPSIS: Building restorative resilience has been the key contributing factor for success in every day Dentistry. Bioactive restoratives greatly impact compatibility with the tooth, gums and saliva by restoring not just the material and the function of the tooth but its interaction with surrounding tissue and saliva in the ecosystem of oral cavity. It ensures the ability of the restoration to be able to tolerate adversity and stand the test of time while functioning like a real tooth. Wouldn’t you want to insure your work with restorative resilience that is fast and easy to obtain?
Dead and ineffective fillings are passe. Welcome to a new world of Bio–ACTIVE restorations.
Points that will be covered in this program:
1. Clarity on being able to differentiate between restorative materials and Bioactive restorative materials.
2. Ease of application in a real case with clear understanding of the process of use.
3. Discussion of case preferences for this material.
4. Advantages to the case, the Dentist and the patient.
5. Objective case economics including material cost vs case cost that will aid in practice management.

Procedure: Immediate Loading in Anterior Esthetic ZONE: A STEP AHEAD
. ABSTRACT: Immediate Loading in Anterior Aesthetic Zone with provisional restoration has great advantage viz., short treatment duration, alveolar bone preservation as well as developing and preserving papilla and marginal gingiva while maintaining the zenith. Success and survival rates for immediately placed implants are comparable to those for early and delayed placement implants. In the anterior aesthetic zone, great care and planning must precede immediate implant placement. With respect to a aesthetics, preservation of crestal bone and natural-looking soft-tissue architecture are essential. Considerations include implant design, the implant-abutment interface, biological width, the patient’s biotype, the buccal bone plate, crestal bone position, positioning of implant, design of temporary prosthesis and patient’s expectation. The biggest advantage is gaining patient’s confidence & trust in dentistry and taking your implant practice, a step ahead.
Dentistry is growing with widely practiced innovations happening everyday in all specialities. An important aspect of successful Dentistry is understanding the protocols and the techniques to be followed. Procedure: Antibiotics...which, when and how much!!
ABSTRACT: Oral infections are the main reasons why patients enter our clinic with pain. Understanding the microorganisms involved, resistance of the same against routine antibiotics, dose and duration of the drug to be prescribed is very important for the Dentist to avoid over or under prescribing and achieving an infection free status in the shortest time possible. The lecture will cover all the above and the different drugs available currently and their applications.

Procedure: How To.....Do 3D Obturations With Lateral Fills?
ABSTRACT: The purpose of Obturation phase of Endodontic
treatment is to prevent the reinfection of root canals that have been biomechanically cleaned, shaped and disinfected by instrumentation, irrigation and medication procedures. Successful obturation requires the use of materials and techniques capable of densely filling the entire root canal system and providing a fluid tight seal.
Gutta Percha is the most commonly used successful material to three dimensionally obliterate the root canal system. Warm Vertical Condensation of Gutta Percha for the filling of root canals has been proved to be simple, efficient, effective way to routinely fill the root canals in three dimensions to achieve a fluid tight hermetic seal.
The EQ-V Obturation System helps to achieve predictable, faster, reasonable and more efficient way of root canal fillings.
There will be two Speakers, speaking on two diametrically opposite but correct procedure to acheive the same goal. Like everything else in life, in Dentistry too, there are more than one method to perform procedures. The methods might be different but the goal is the same.

Procedure: Ceramic Laminates in General PractiCe
ABSTRACT: Ceramic Laminate Veneers are the ultimate aesthetic restorations in Restorative Dentistry. There is no restoration better suited for matching a single tooth or creating an entire smile makeover. Besides being aesthetic, the biggest advantage of these restorations is their ability to preserve the tooth structure and thus increase the longevity of both the restoration and the tooth. With the use of adhesive technology they have sufficient strength to be indicated in most clinical situations.
Ceramic laminates are therefore one of the most important tools for a Dentist to have within his armamentarium of dental procedures.
This lecture will provide you with insights on the proper case selection and treatment planning and all the various clinical steps required to ensure success with these restorations.

Procedure: Decoding The Myth – Pulpal Regeneration or Apexification??
ABSTRACT: Regenerative Endodontics is one of the most exciting developments in Dentistry today and Endodontists are at the forefront of this cutting-edge research. Endodontists knowledge in the fields of pulp biology, dental trauma and tissue engineering can be applied to deliver biologically based regenerative endodontic treatment of necrotic immature permanent teeth resulting in continued root development, increased thickness in the dentinal walls and apical closure. These developments in regeneration of a functional pulp-dentin complex have a promising impact on efforts to retain the natural dentition, the ultimate goal of endodontic treatment. But not all teeth with immature apices can go for regenerative procedures. So case selection becomes an important step during such procedures. This lecture tries to decode the myths about regenerative procedures and helps in establishing proper guidelines on which type of cases need regenerative procedures or apexification.

Procedure: ABC of FMR (Full Mouth Rehabilitation)
ABSTRACT: Unless you know what is right, you can never diagnose what is wrong!!!
As a strong believer in the above mentioned lines; in his session Dr. Moez will focus on highlighting the core fundamental factors that determine the success vs failure of a Full Mouth Rehabilitation case, starting with the very basic.
His session will be targeted towards understanding the role of the TMJ, Disc, Occlusion, Condylar Guidance, Incisal Guidance, Neuromuscular balance and the interplay between them. He shall then draw attention towards the aetiology of FMR and the general sequence of steps towards managing any FMR case, including those with a collapsed vertical. He shall emphasise on the importance of recording Centric Relation and Condylar Guidance in an FMR case and also help with video demonstrations, how to very easily record the same in the patient’s mouth and transfer to an articulator (something that he feels is a must in every FMR case).
The lecture is designed as a purely clinical and a fun filled session that is sure to help you along your FMR journey.
