FAMDENT SHOW 2016 ASSERTS A DAWN OF NEW AGE IN ORAL HEALTH CARE WITH THE MAJOR HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW, THE “GENNEXT MODULE”

It’s another successful year for FAMDENT Shows as it closed on a high note, bringing forth yet another elevation to its continuing effort to impart the best dental education to students &dental professionals alike with its all new program titled “Gennext Module” and “2 Ways to Get There”.

FAMDENT Show 2016, successfully concluded its three days’ exhibition and seminars held in Mumbai, with significant upswing of more than 12000 visitors from across the country and also international participants from countries like Bangladesh, Cameroon, Nigeria, UAE, Australia, Singapore. The show proved to be a hub- spot for latest clinical and dental technology, premium product launches, live procedures and workshops - all under one roof.

Started by industry veterans Dr Anil Arora and Dr Jyotika Arora, Famdent is India's leading provider of high quality dental publications, organising conferences, exhibitions and conducting workshops all over India - a one stop solution for continuing dental education to enhance oral care awareness amongst consumers.

The show witnessed visitors not only from Maharashtra and neighbouring states like Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka but also from other parts of the country. The Famdent Show has emerged as a platform for a Clinical Dental Exhibition and Conference since 2005 and is currently held in 3 cities- Mumbai, every year and by rotation in other cities like Delhi, Pune, Indore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, etc.

“The response has been overwhelming this year. The live procedures and sessions undertaken at the scientific arena have added value to the delegates' learning. We have been conducting The Famdent Show nationally largely aiming at the holistic betterment and development of the dental fraternity in India, thereby creating opportunities and avenues for the growth of the profession,” said Dr Arora at the show.

Famdent Show has not only opened doors to open-discussion and learning but also allowed opportunity to build skills and advance networking by sharing experiences in the application of technology in dentistry.

Conference & Seminars:

The three-day seminars and workshops which were a part of the Famdent Show 2016 helped dentists who participated, earn 6 credit points/ hours per day of continuing dental education.

The seminars and workshops have given both young and seasoned dentists the required exposure on the practical aspects of dentistry which has been a hitherto neglected subject in India. The workshops have been very much significant as over 20, 000 dentists that pass out from 325 dental colleges in the country have very less exposure to various clinical aspects of dentistry like root canal, crown and bridge, cosmetic dentistry and implantology.

For the first time in India, Famdent conducted highly resourceful modules, titled as the “Gennext Module” And “2 Ways To Get There” which were the major highlights of the show, highly anticipated by beginners as well as stalwarts from the dental industry and profession alike.

In the former, the audience witnessed father/son, mother/daughter or a combination duo presenting their thoughts in an old school v/s new school manner.

In the next, ‘2 Ways to Get There’, two speakers addressed topics like implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry with a contradicting but correct procedure to achieve the same goal.

Besides these, the other high points of the show were the live procedures on patients with optimum protocols, the unique Famdent developed “HOW TO……” series andsimulated hands on clinics on multiple procedures providing contemporary technology focused education.

Trade Show & Exhibition:

During the event, more than 325 companies exhibited their products. The expo showcased dental products, right from forceps to prosthetic equipment, thereby witnessing participation from prominent brands like Colgate, Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, 3M, Ipca Pharma and Abbott Healthcare. And many more exhibitors used this platform to launch their products at this show

As the industry grows, sharing knowledge and insights across-boundaries will increase in importance for the progression of dental professionals in India and abroad. Famdent Show 2016 was a successful event for the industry on the whole with its on-going effort to bring something new and progressive in the field of dentistry.
