GC starts India operations

GC Corporation, of Tokyo Japan, through its subsidiary, GC Asia Dental Pte Ltd , has set up its independent operating branch in India. From April 2008 onwards, the company will directly supply GC products to its dealers across the country.

Country Manager Dr. M. Sriram confirmed that “GC has now setup its own branch in India to cater to the needs of the market and customers to the fullest. Effective April 2008, GC Asia - India will supply GC products directly from its new facility located at Hyderabad.”

In a recent media survey, 85% of dentists, who had taken part in an independent countrywide poll had voted glass ionomers as one of the most essential materials for dentist. “GC Fuji” was the most popular glass ionomer, according that poll. Many customers presume that by operating directly, GC would go way past that poll percentage based on the expectation of improved sales and marketing services to customers.

This new GC India operation indicates the importance that GC gives to the expanding and improving the India dental scene and the confidence the company has with the local management team to provide a first class service to its dealer partners and customers.

2008 is a milestone in the company’s progress in India and the Asia region .
