Make Your First Impression...Your Best Impression!!!

We all have been making impressions for years but are we doing this simple step the way it is supposed to be done. How often do we struggle with prosthesis that fit the cast but don’t seat correctly on the prepared tooth? How often are we/patient troubled by crowns feeling high, porcelain fracturing, de-cementing and post cementation sensitivity? One of the primary reasons for these is a faulty impression.

This session is aimed at answering the most basic daily questions of impression making that we have all had for years with probably no answers.

The lecture shall encompass the following:

  • Alginate Vs C-Silicone Vs A-Silicone Vs Polyether. Which impression material should I buy and why?
  • Metal trays Vs Plastic trays; Perforated trays Vs Non-Perforated trays. Which impression tray should be used and why?
  • How to avoid voids and drag marks in my impression.
  • One step Vs Two step. Which impression technique should I use; when, why and how?

The demo and hands-on shall encompass the following:

  • One step technique using A-Silicone.
  • Two step technique using A-silicone.

Requirements From Participants:

Upper And Lower Impression Trays.
